Fractal Design Launches Core 3000 Chassis

Fractal Design have launched a new case, named the Core 3000. It breaks away from the ‘mainstream’ bright LEDs and loud designs to bring in a simple black case with white hilights. Unfortunately the exterior of the case is slightly boring with a simple black colour scheme and no side window, however the interior has been given some sprucing up with white accents. It would have been nice to see this translate to the exterior of the case.

The mid tower isn’t lacking in the cooling department with seven variously sized fan slots available for a full fledged cooling system. The case will only ship with three fans included, so be ready to go digging around all those spare parts for extra fans if you want to fill up the empty slots. The case also provides plenty of space with two 5.25″ bays, six 3.5″ bays, 7 expansion slots and support for graphics cards as long as 420mm. For reference AMD’s monster dual GPU, the HD 5970 is only 292mm long, there’s not much that won’t fit in this case.

The case will support Mini ITX, Micro ATX and ATX motherboards and weighs in at 7.1KG. Full specifications below, however shipping date and pricing is yet to be available.
