Hold on! Firstly let me clarify that there’s no official download available right now(This article was written before the update. Kindly read the update if you want to check CM10 on Xperia S tat has been released). It is too very early. But the information that we have received and the same that we will share with you is enough for now to tease your senses. But the news is confirmed. So what’s the news?

CM10 on Xperia S can be expected soon. Developments are going on in this regards. We could see FXP 130 at many places. But the XDA threads where such developments are going on are locked right now. But we are sure that soon we will receive more updates on this. Currently, the information we have is that CM10 Alpha build for Xperia S is very much in development right now.

For those who are not much accustomed to what CM10 is, it is important to note that CM10 will be CyanogenMod team’s development in Jelly Bean. In brief, CM10 is Jelly Bean 4.1.1. FXP is Free Xperia Team that works on CM developments for Xperia handsets. With this ROM you can improve the performance of your stock Android. When you will get perfect CM10 for Xperia S along with other handsets, you can expect the following improvisations:

He has been quite active as far as the Android development in Xperia niche is concerned.

Diablo III opening cinematic released

With the third installment of the Diablo franchise nearingfruition, Blizzard has released what is being called the "opening cinematic" for Diablo III. The trailer first peaked its head out for a public appearance this weekend at the Spike Video Game Awards.

Blizzard is well known for their impressive CGI video. The cinematic sports some very cool illustrative animation and some impressive 3D work toward the end, depicting a scene between two individuals -- don't worry, I won't spoil it for you.  For your convenience, the video is embedded below.

Diablo III is set to be the tertiary chapter in the epic hack-n-slash franchise, arriving nearly 12 years after the last installment, Diablo II. The comically long wait has defined very high-expectations, causing some of Blizzard's decisions to enrage fans. Such decisions include requiring the game to authenticate against Battle.net online, forbbiding mods, changing the "look and feel" of the once two-dimensional game and introducing elements from the Warcraft franchise.

There is little question Diablo III will be a hit in 2012, but the game also introduces a potentially industry-changing idea: a central auction house that uses real-world money.  In a sense, the long frowned upon practice of "gold farming" will be no longer be prohibited.

For better or worse, this shift of paradigm injects real capitalism into Diablo III. For players, this could introduce a form of wealth imbalance. However, the same system may also offer everyone a way to subsidize the cost of the game and possibly even make money -- or a living -- playing Diablo. For Blizzard, a real-world auction system could prove be a gigantic cash cow. Few details are known, but you can bet the gaming industry will be watching closely.

We last reported the game is expected to have an early 2012 release, but no official date has been given.

Early Android 4.0 port for x86 tablets and laptops released

Google is working with Intel to release a version of Android designed to run on tablets, laptops and other computers with x86 chips. They've made some progress on that front, enablingAndroid 2.3 to run on embedded systemspowered by an Atom E6xx series chip, but it seems the folks over at the Android-x86 project are a step ahead with the first release of Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich for x86.

The port is currently optimized for tablets with AMD Brazos chips inside, including the MSI WindPad 110W or Acer Iconia Tab W500. It's still a little rough around the edges: Wi-Fi, touchscreen input and OpenGL ES hardware acceleration with the Brazos’ Radeon GPU are supported, but drivers for wired Ethernet connections, cameras, sound, and hardware-accelerated graphics output on Intel graphics adapters are still missing.

According to developer Chih-Wei Huang, posting in the android-x86 group, AMD is supporting the project by donating devices and offering technical advise from their engineers. Intel on the other hand appears focused on their own port of Android and so far has refused to give the Android-x86 project any support.

The group is therefore currently only offering one Android 4.0.1 ISO image for the AMD Brazos platform. You can grab the 191MB file from the project download page, where you'll also find links for other versions of Android-x86, including a Honeycomb release optimized for Asus tablets and laptops.

Intel Core i7 990x Released

All the way back in August a rumor was going around that the 990x would be released in September however no sign of the release appeared and many months on we’ve finally seen the new 990x hit shelves. There’s no official statement from Intel as of yet but the chip has hit shelves and is now available for purchase.

The 990x will be based on a new stepping of the 32nm Gulftown Architecture, with the same 6 core, 12 thread setup as the 980x except that it will ship with a higher clock speed of 3.46GHz and speeds of up to 3.6GHz with Intel’s Turbo Boost enabled.

While the bump in speed bears little significance, the new stepping could significantly improve overclocking performance over the 980x which is already able to hit a very impressive 4.2GHz and beyond on nothing more than air cooling.

If you’re looking to buy one of these monsters then be prepared to sell an arm and leg as the 990x is hitting shelves with a retail price of $1,050 USD. While the price tag is large it’s not to be unexpected from an Intel Extreme Edition processor. Perhaps the better news to come from this for our budget conscious readers is that it’s predecessor the i7 980x which is currently sitting at $1,000 USD is expected to fall significantly in price due to the release of the 990x, while the 970 (locked multiplier) is currently sitting at a more swallow-able $600 USD.
