Few months back, we covered a free utility called 7Conifier to customize Windows 7 taskbar and start menu program icons. This time around, we have another free tool to replace the default taskbar icons (pinned program icons) with custom ones.
W7 Superbar Icon Changer helps you change all taskbar application icons with a few mouse clicks. The utility comes in handy if you want to replace program icons with third-party taskbar icon packs.
Run the utility, select a pinned application from the drop down list, and click change button to select the custom icon. Finally click apply button. You will need to close W7 Superbar Icon Changer to see the change.
As this tool is still in beta stage and doesn’t provide the option to revert to the default icons, we recommend creating a manual system restore point before running this tool.
To revert to the default program icon, unpin the program from the taskbar, and then pin the program to the taskbar again.
