Since Jelly Bean update is just around, we are sure many Android testers would have updated their Galaxy Nexus with Jelly Bean 4.1. Of course, it is a great decision because now your Galaxy nexus shall feature better functionality and better user experience.
As per the preview version as available for the Google IO attendees it seems that Android Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy Nexus shall have a better and smoother experience. Better performance and Touch response along with the smart widget management seems to be the leading and most useful features of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Apart from that new home screen, offline voice to text transcription and presence of latest Google Now seems to be the most rocking features.
But there is something weird that you might have noticed. After flashing Jelly Bean 4.1 update on Galaxy Nexus you might have lost root access. For rooters this is a lag back. Since root access with Super User does not work after updating Galaxy Nexus on Jelly Bean 4.1 you will have to flash Superuser SU root fix.

  3. Flash in CWM
  4. Wipe data/cache
