Install Polish Blood ICS 4.0.4 ROM on Sony LWW WT19i

Many WT19i users have been asking in various forums as to when Sony’s official ICS update is available for this particular device. But nothing is fixed in this regards. Sony has not declared any date for official ICS on WT19i. But there is no need to worry. There are many developers who have dedicated their knowledge and efforts towards useful Android devices like Sony’s Live with Walkman WT19i. And as a result of this we got a final product as an amazing ROM called as Polish Blood ROM for Live with Walkman. We are thankful to XDA developer ZduneX25 who shared this AOSP ICS ROM for WT19iwith us.

Details of this new ROM:

Polish Blood ROM is a complete AOSP ROM and thus you won’t come across anything like CM or AOKP. Thus theme addition, custom lock screen or any such thing won’t be possible. But with this ROM you can get 240 MB of free RAM without any issues. You won’t even require task killer on the board. You will be able to download this amazing ROM from the link given at the end of the post.

Install Polish Blood ICS AOSP ROM on Wt19i LWW

We recommend you to take complete back up of your phone first. This is because if anything goes wrong then in that case you can use the back up when desired. Also, it is important to note that the LWW device should be kept charged to the extent of 70 percent to play a safe game. Before moving towards the procedure of installing Polish Blood ROM on Wt19i kindly go through the disclaimer below.

Disclaimer: Installing a custom ROM on the Android device is a bit risky job. However, you may continue with the same if you have enough technical knowledge. Kindly perform the procedure at your own risk.

• The first thing you can do is, take boot.img from the zip and flash through fastboot.
• Go to Recovery and take up factory reset or full wipe.
• Now, you must go for dalvik cache.
• Install ROM zip. (in recovery you must ignore boot.img).
• Reboot.

As per the discussion between various developers and testers in XDA’s official thread we could find out that this ROM made stereo speakers work amazingly. Also, Video recorder was working smoothly. Testers also felt that the device’s speed has enhanced for better.

However, a few testers also came across a few bugs like:

• Menu and back touch buttons light;
• Tether through wi-fi
• Accelerometer

Good news is, ICS ROM on WT19i is a landmark moment because people who were expecting Ice Cream Sandwich in some form on WT19i would be extremely happy as it is something many users were waiting for.
